    • Long pants (below the knee) are recommended for volunteer days.

    • Close toed athletic shoes that you don't mind getting dirty - you'll need them for volunteering, for hiking, and they might even get wet on the way to a waterfall!

If rescheduling isn't possible, we will schedule in a new weather appropriate excursion + donate any leftover funds to one of our animal rescue partners.

  • How much time will be spent volunteering? >> You can expect to spend 2-3 hours per day volunteering, unless otherwise noted.

  • Will we have any free time? >> Generally there will be 1-2 hours of free time each night to shower and regroup for the evening before dinner, with group dinners being optional. This will vary depending on the trip you choose.  We encourage you to book extra days to continue exploring the  area before or after your trip! We are happy to provide recommendations.

  • Are these trips for all ages? >> Travelers need to be over 18 years old by the trip start date. Note that our volunteer activities and excursions can be physically challenging with no accommodations for less active participants. If you're interested in a family friendly volunteer trip, or a private itinerary, please contact us at info@moyovillage.com!

  • How many people are on each trip? >> We keep our trips small! Generally we have a minimum capacity of 5 (4 volunteers + 1 host) and a maximum capacity of 10 (8 volunteers + 2 hosts).

  • What if the trip gets cancelled? >> If the trip gets cancelled because of extenuating circumstances (i.e COVID-19, natural disaster, not meeting the minimum number of trip participants) all payments including deposits will be fully refunded.

  • What if I have to cancel? >> If you paid in full, you will receive a full refund minus a $200 deposit up to 60 days prior to the trip start. If you have only paid your deposit, the $200 deposit is non-refundable. If you have to cancel within 60 days of the trip start, please contact us for options, as we can not guarantee refunds after this point.
