  • Lodging >> Located in San Juan, PR. Walkable to all of the restaurants & bars on the famous Calle Loiza AND the beach at Ocean Park. Our private house has three different lodging options with included AC, WiFi, and basic amenities

    • $400 per person - Shared Bunk room

    • $500 per person - Private Queen room (can be booked as a single traveler or group of two)

  • Excursions >> Hike in El Yunque National Forest, the only tropical rainforest in the US! // Kayak to a coral reef in the Seven Seas Cove to snorkel // Private outdoor yoga class // Adventure to a secret waterfall only known to locals.

  • Volunteer >> Each day we'll help a local animal rescue walk and care for their rescue dogs. The animal rescues on the island rarely have volunteers, so our helping hands allow the dogs much needed exercise and socialization! We will volunteer at multiple rescues throughout the duration of this trip.

  • Fundraise >> Before your trip, participate in our group fundraiser to raise funds for the animal rescues we volunteer with. Earn cash incentives for your fundraising efforts to help pay for your trip: raise $100 + receive $10, raise $300 + receive $50, raise $500 + receive $100, raise $1000 + receive $300. 

**Option to pay in full or book spot with a $100 deposit (non-refundable if full payment is not received by 45 days of trip start.) Travel insurance required. Excursions are weather dependent - in the case of an excursion cancellation, funds will be donated to one of our animal rescue partners.

  • Lodging >> Located in Aguada, PR. Just a few minutes drive to Rincon and walkable to the beach & nearby restaurants. Our private house has a big backyard and two different lodging options with included AC, WiFi, and basic amenities

    • $500 per person - Private King Room (only bookable by a group of two)

    • $500 per person - Private Queen room (can be booked as a single traveler or group of two)

  • Excursions >> Hike to a crystal clear secret beach // Horseback ride along the coast  // Private outdoor yoga class // Adventure to a secret waterfall only known to locals.

frequently asked questions

  • What do I need to bring? >> We recommend packing light and airy clothes - items that are good for hiking and volunteering in heat + humidity.

    • Long pants (below the knee) are recommended for volunteer days.

    • Close toed athletic shoes that you don't mind getting dirty - you'll need them for volunteering, for hiking, and they might even get wet on the way to a waterfall!

    • Water shoes are a good additional option too. 

    • Rain coat

    • Sunscreen

    • Reusable water bottle

    • Small backpack to carry personal items on hikes

    • Any necessary toiletries

  • What is NOT included? >> Lodging on Wednesday night if you prefer to come early and experience the full day on Thursday (we will have optional activities planned during the day on Thursday + will have a group lodging option for Wednesday night that is usually around $35/person); you will need to self-pay for 4 lunches + 3 dinners (average meals are $10-15 or standard US prices); no beverages are provided other than filtered water; travel insurance (this is REQUIRED and usually around $60); airfare (you have the option of letting us book your airfare for $20 - we are experts at finding the lowest prices!)

  • What if the weather is bad? >> If an excursion gets canceled due to bad weather, we will do our best to reschedule it for a different day during the trip. If rescheduling isn't possible, we will schedule in a new weather appropriate excursion + donate any leftover funds (only applicable to horseback riding and kayak/snorkel excursions) to one of our animal rescue partners.

  • How much time will be spent volunteering? >> You can expect to spend 2-3 hours per day volunteering. 

  • Will we have any free time? >> Generally there will be 1-2 hours of free time each night to shower and regroup for the evening before dinner, with group dinners being optional. We encourage you to book extra days in Puerto Rico to continue exploring the island before or after your trip! We are happy to provide recommendations. 

  • Is this trip for all ages? >> Travelers need to be over 18 years old by the trip start date. Note that our volunteer activities and excursions can be physically challenging with no accommodations for less active participants.   • What if the trip gets cancelled? >> If the trip gets cancelled because of extenuating circumstances (i.e COVID-19) all payments including deposits will be fully refunded. 

  • What if I have to cancel? >> If you paid in full, you will receive a full refund minus a $100 deposit up to 45 days prior to the trip start. If you have only paid your deposit, the $100 deposit is non-refundable. If you have to cancel within 45 days of the trip start, please contact us for options.
